In the latest episode of The Walking Dead, Rick and his group found themselves in a tough situation. They were surrounded by walkers, but they had no weapons or supplies to defend themselves. They all agreed that they needed to make a run for it, but one member of the group refused to leave without her son.
The walking dead recap season 11 episode 8 is a recap of the seventh episode of the eleventh season of AMC’s The Walking Dead.
Each gang on The Walking Dead had to rethink their approach this week in order to obtain what they desired. With each new situation, they discovered fresh, and in some ways, unjustified knowledge. Eugene had gotten himself into even more difficulty. Maggie mastered the skill of whispering. Leah’s trust in Pope remained shattered.
Let’s go through everything again!
It’s going to get a little spoilery!
After Daryl’s (Norman Reedus) sneaky helping hand, Maggie (Lauren Cohan) and the rest of the gang go forward to Meridian in the first episode. Negan (Jeffery Dean Morgan) has reached his breaking point and wants an honest assurance from Maggie that he won’t have to worry about her offing him from now on.
When it comes to a solid defense, Negan and Maggie are on the same page. Walking as a Whisperer, concealed among walkers, is that defense. Maggie is learning to walk as a walker with Negan’s assistance. While he compliments her on how rapidly she is learning, she feels uncomfortable. We’re shocked as well, particularly given how often the two have clashed.
Maggie has a heart-to-heart with Negan and comes to a mutual understanding that is both honest and harsh. He confesses that if he could go back in time and murder everyone instead of just Glenn and Abraham, he would. Negan says that they must maintain their integrity in order to continue working together.
They continue their trip as walkers and arrive in Meridian as a result. Our hearts ache for Elijah in the middle of the march (Okea Eme-Akwari). He notices his sister, who is now a walker, among the herd.
Promise of Assistance
Eugene (Josh McDermitt) and Stephanie (Chelle Ramos) clear up an abandoned area of walkers (we’re quite sure she’s not the actual Stephanie). Hornsby (Josh Hamilton), who gets them freed on walker cleaning duty, causes Eugene concern and mistrust. Princess (Paola Lazaro) and Ezekiel (Khary Payton) are also cleaning up nearby, but Ezekiel is having trouble. Princess made it clear that she is worried about Ezekiel’s health. If it means working twice as hard, she’s up for the challenge.
Yumiko (Eleanor Matsuura) is being interviewed for a job that would be a good match for her legal skills. She finds out where her pals have gone and demands to see Pamela Milton. She then devises a plan to assist them. When she speaks with Tomi (Ian Anthony Dale) again, she discovers that he, too, had some issues. While he is relieved that he is no longer a doctor since it is not the life he desires, he cautions her not to tell anybody that he was. A couple stormtroopers barge in and take him away before he can go any farther.
Yumiko comes upon Hornsby while searching for answers. He assures her that everything will be OK, and that after assisting her friends, he expects to be able to get something from her in the future. It’s foreboding, and it’s not good.
Hornsby assigns Eugene and the others to additional tasks, but Eugene has difficulties. He and Stephanie rush to a couple’s aid and remove walkers, only to find that their assistance is unnecessary. Eugene and Stephanie are also tormented and ridiculed by a young guy named Sebastian (Teo Rapp-Olsson), to the point that Eugene can no longer tolerate it and strikes the man in the face. While we were all in favor of it, Eugene will suffer even greater harm as a result of the action. Pamela Milton’s kid is the young guy.
Eugene is placed in a jail cell and is given just one option for escape. Hornby must know the location of Alexandria and how to get there.
While traversing the grounds of the Reapers lair, Daryl is still doing his best team player act. This time, there are dog tags. The scouting group returns as Daryl approaches their pantry, which is stocked with a huge quantity of food. They haven’t discovered anybody, which irritates Pope (Ritchie Coster). Next, Leah (Lynn Collins) and Daryl will scout for Maggie’s troop. She shares her concern about Maggie’s gang returning to steal what they have, as well as her and Pope’s responsibility to safeguard a whole community. We can’t help but chuckle at her speech since it sounds so much like Daryl’s.
During their scouting trip, Daryl takes command when they come across a defenseless guy. He steps between him and Leah in the hopes of protecting the man, but Pope orders him killed over the radio. When Leah and the guy meet the man’s wife and kid, she makes a quick decision. We’re really very proud of it.
Leah, overcome with grief, urges the guy and his son to leave and never return. The woman has been severely harmed and is willing to be put out of her agony. However, Leah is unable to complete it, so Daryl does it for her. Daryl then attempts to tell the others that he’s a spy, but is cut off due to radio interference. We can’t help but believe he’s fortunate in that regard. He is now a sheep in a wolf’s lair.
